TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta has two mass transportation facilities that will operate soon; the integrated public transportation (MRT) and the light rail transit (LRT). The two transportation facilities have undergone public testing in March 2019.

The Jakarta LRT spans 5.8 kilometers from Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, to Velodrome, East Jakarta. Its route will pass six stations, namely Pegangsaan Dua, North Boulevard, South Boulevard, Pulomas, Equestrian, and Velodrome.

The MRT has a longer track spanning 16 kilometers from Lebak Bulus Station to the Indonesia Hotel Roundabout. It also has more stations — 13 in total.

While the LRT rides above ground, the MRT runs on both underground and elevated tracks. Both trains have similar facilities and have pathways for people with disabilities.
