TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Quality of human resources is key to the advanced Indonesia, according to Vice presidential candidate number 01 Ma'ruf Amin during the vice presidential debate held last night.

"Our vision and mission is to make Indonesia an advanced (country). The key is on the human resources. (They must be) healthy, intelligent, productive and noble," Amin said during the third presidential debate at Hotel Sultan in Jakarta, Sunday evening.

As a candidate for the upcoming 2019 Presidential Election, Amin said that leaders must develop program and measure for the benefits of the people.

Therefore, the National Health Insurance (JKN), the Family Hope Program (PKH), as well as scholarships will be continued.

"For all my children, you should not be afraid to dream and aspire. Parents do not need not worry to dream. We are also determined to raise the benefits of existing programs," Ma'ruf Amin said.

Based on official Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) data, the participants of the JKN program in 2014 were 133,423,653 people to 207.8 million in 2018 and 217 million in February 2019. As of March 1, 2019, JKN program participants had reached 218,132,478 people.

Participants in the National Health Insurance program organized by BPJS increased by 83 million over five years since 2014.
