Recently Released Siti Aisyah Missing from Her Hometown

14 March 2019 22:06 WIB

President Joko Widodo received Siti Aisyah, a former suspect in the murder case of North Korean Leader's half brother Kim Jong Nam, at the presidential palace, Jakarta, welcoming her back to Indonesia on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. Some South Korean lawmakers said the North Korean regime had ordered the assassination of Kim Jong Nam, who had been critical of his family's dynastic rule. Pyongyang has denied the accusation. TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Siti Aisyah (26) was supposedly picked up by State Officials just one day after arriving at her hometown of Kampung Rancasukur, Serang District, on Tuesday.

“She was picked up on Wednesday night,” said Indra Mutain, Aisyah’s relative on Thursday, March 14.

Indra said he was not entirely sure about the identities of the people who picked her up. However, Indra said that the people claimed to be from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

“She has yet returned home,” said Indra, who has yet heard news from her to this day.

Despite obvious concern for her well-being, Indra said that the entire family was praying for Aisyah’s condition.
