TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian counterterrorism squad Densus 88 today arrested suspected terrorist Riky Gustadi or Abu Riky (26) in the area of Rokan Hilir, Riau. He was arrested for the alleged involvement in provoking a terror plan against President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo during his presidential visit at Ciputat, Tangerang, on March 13.
“It is believed that [Riky] ordered members of the Panji Hitam Whatsapp group [to go into action] in Ciputat parallel to Jokowi’s visit there,” said Indonesian National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo on Thursday, March 14.

Moreover, Dedi said that Riky had a role in uploading a video showing an explosion at the Parkir Timur Senayan on Sunday, February 17, while the presidential debate was ongoing at the time.
Riky is also believed to have helped fund a terrorist group member from Riau, Abu Haura, who channels the funds to the Medan Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) terrorist group. Abu was arrested on August 14, 2017, for his role in spreading the Philippines' ISIS propaganda posters.
Densus 88 confiscated 8 long-shafted arrow projectiles, its bow, target practice equipment, stun gun, and tactical outfits at the terrorist's arrest.
