Facebook Denies System Down due to DDoS Attack

  • TEMPO.CO, JakartaA giant social media Facebook is down for users around the world today. Users report that they cannot upload photos or post new messages on the US-based site and application.

    Through its official Twitter page, Facebook is aware of the trouble that many people cannot access the platform and its social media group, Instagram and Whatsapp.

    “We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” Facebook tweeted on Twitter, Thursday, March 14.

    The most notable social media asserts that it is focused to fix the trouble that is confirmed not related to a DDoS attack.

    DDoS stands for distributed denial of service attack, a cyber attack carried out by criminal hackers that leads to system down.

    A hashtag #FacebookDown becomes one of Twitter’s trending topic today, March 14. To 9:30 Western Indonesian Time, at least 493,000 people have tweeted using the hashtag.
