TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Mandiri`s (IDX: BMRI) SR011 sukuk sales has reached Rp730 billion. The figure is 91percent of the targeted sales of Rp800 billion.

The bank now plans to increase its sales quota for the SR011 retail sukuk.

Hery Gunardi, director of small businesses and network at Bank Mandiri, said on Wednesday that public enthusiasm over the Islamic bond is quite well.

"Bank Mandiri is still optimistic to ask for additional offering quota of the SR011, given the many demands from customers," he said.

The SR011 retail sukuk has a 3-year tenor and an annual coupon of 8.05 percent.

The offering period will last until March 21st. There are 22 official agents that have been appointed by the government, including Citibank N.A. Indonesia, BRI, BCA, HSBC, Bank Mandiri, BNI, CIMB Niaga, Standard Chartered Bank, and others.
