TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan officially introduced the Jakarta Aman quick emergency response app aimed at providing rapid assistance for Jakartans facing any type of emergency situation.
“This application provides assistance for members of the public who need help,” said Anies Baswedan today, March 12, on the app that was developed by PT Indonesia Lebih Aman.
Anies Baswedan mentioned situations that might be considered as an emergency, including the event of natural disasters. This app is also integrated with the Jakarta Siaga call center 112 supervised by the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD).
The report will enable the BPBD to know the exact location where the report was made and continue the information to related government instances, either at the regional or national scale ranging from ambulance service to police assistance.
“This system is directly integrated to the 112 service, which is integrated to the Jakarta Metro Police,” said Anies Baswedan.
The app can also provide information on the whereabouts of police personnel and could also notify users on certain incidents.
