Amien Rais Talks of Angels Praying for Jokowi's Election Loss

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head advisor of Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno campaign team (BPN) Amien Rais accuses the Jokowi camp of practicing money politics in the 2019 presidential election campaign by distributing 'sembako' or nine basic commodities.
Amien Rais claims that campaigning by distributing basic commodities to cities and rural areas will be the main factor for Jokowi's failure in winning the 2019 election.
“For me personally, the crazier they get the larger chance of their loss is. So God’s willing (Inshallah) our efforts will be fruitful,” he said.
Amien then compared Jokowi to Prabowo Subianto’s camp that is limited in its campaign budget, media relations, and lack of global support.
However, Amien Rais maintained that Indonesia’s 2019 presidential election will not be determined by either team’s campaign funds but by God’s will.
According to Amien Rais, angels come down to earth each morning to report to God by the end of the night of the current leader’s recklessness. “Please God [Allah], defeat [Jokowi] and establish his loss. Now, once the angels have prayed like this, it will likely be manifested [ijabah],” he said.
