KPU Announces Panelists for Third Presidential Debate

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The General Elections Commission (KPU) announced it had named the team of panelists comprising seven to nine experts for the upcoming presidential debate

The presidential debate is slated to take place on March 17, in which vice-presidential hopefuls Ma'ruf Amin and Sandiaga Uno will take part. 

“We will announce the panelists that hail from numerous backgrounds such as health, employment, education, socio-culture science,” said KPU commissioner Ilham Saputra on Monday, March 11.

Among the panelist candidates are renowned humanist Radhar Panca Dahana, University of Syiah rector Samsul Riza, University of Hasanuddin rector Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, and executive director of rights group Migrant Care Anis Hidayah.

Ilham announced the preparations for the third presidential debate on March 17 were 80 percent complete. The debate will be held at Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, and moderated by Alfito Deannova and Putri Ayuningtyas.
