KRL Train Derailed After Being Hit by Huge Electric Pole

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An electric train (KRL) experienced an accident in Kebon Pedes area, Bogor City, West Java on Sunday, March 10, 2019. The train was allegedly hit by a huge electric pole, causing it to derailed.
From Tempo`s observation at the location, there were three cars damaged. Two of the train carriages were also rolled over.
Up until now, the evacuation process is still ongoing. Officers from PT KAI Daop 1 and PT Kereta Comuterline Indonesia were already on location, evacuating passengers and also carriages.
The accident made the train journey towards Bogor and vice versa stopped temporarily. "Until now, the Jakarta City / Jatinegara crossing KRL trips and vice versa cannot be served," said PT KCI Vice President of Corporate Communications Eva Chairunisa.
The accident also made the traffic congested around the location. Because the train stopped right in front of the train crossing on Jalan Kebon Pedes which led to Cilebut-Pasar Anyar. The road is temporarily impassable.
PT KCI has until now stated that it does not yet know whether there have been any fatalities due to this KRL train accident.
