TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fire blazed KFC fast food restaurant at the Plaza 1 of Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, Saturday, March 9.
Kebayoran Lama Precinct Police Chief Telly Alvin said the fire broke out at 11:10. "Allegedly due to short circuit," the police said in a written statement.
Telly explained that the fire originated from a power panel box that was engulfed by fire. A KFC employee Ahmad Romdoni, helped by UOB security officer, attempted to put out the fire by using eight fire extinguisher tubes.
According to Telly, KFC employee's quick response had put out the fire. "The fire was extinguished at around 12:30. There is no casualty in the incident," he said.
The police said five units of firefighter arrived at the location at 12:45 after the fire was extinguished.
