TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Waters continue to flood the commercial area around Jalan Mangga Dua Raya in North Jakarta on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

"The water subsides yesterday, the road was clear. But this morning the water rises again, maybe last night it was raining in South Jakarta, so the water ran through here," said Pademangan District Head Mumu Mujtahid on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

Two water pumps used to be on standby to drain the water were broken and are being repaired. Mumu immediately coordinate with the Water Resources Agency, the Firefighters, and the Public Order Police.

Mumu stated that as a result of the coordination, seven water pumps were provided to drain the water. "So now the water slowly drains," Mumu said. "The draining is rather slow because sea level is currently high," he added.
