TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said he plans to expose Jakarta Council (DPRD) Speaker Prasetio Edi Marsudi for refusing to sell the city’s share in beer producer PT Delta Djakarta.
He defends that it is the people who requested the city’s administration to completely let go of the PT Delta beer share.
“We will expose [Prasetio] to the residents of Jakarta and call out the representatives who want to hold onto shares in a beer company. Let the people voice their aspiration,” said Anies Baswedan at City Hall today.

“Your representatives want to defend beer shares, they want to make money out of beers,” said the governor in spite of DPRD's position.
Prasetio Edi Marsudi said on Monday upon his refusal to sell the city’s shares in PT Delta Djakarta and argues that the city’s partial ownership on the beer producer has not posed any harm on the city but provide dividends for the city’s finance.
Prasetio asked the Jakarta Administration to rethink its decision to entirely let go of its beer shares and voiced his willingness to openly discuss it with members of the Jakarta administration.
