TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) Lieutenant Gen. M. Herindra said that there are new State Ministries and institutions that will be filled by active military personnel in pursuing TNI’s restructure.
The Ministries consist of the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Presidential Staff Office, and the Maritime Security Board (Bakamla).

“The TNI Law (UU TNI) is being revised by adding several ministries,” said Herindra in a welcoming speech for TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto in a TNI gathering at the TNI headquarters today.
He said that the revised TNI law was done after new ministries and institutions were born because of the law. This was made to professionally and legally place military members at each post.
“Bakamla, for example, have always had TNI personnel within their structure, and is only adding more, because professionally, there are many Navy personnel in the Bakamla,” he said.
