TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The results of a survey carried out by Cyrus Network revealed the campaign teams of both Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin and Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno were still underperforming in the field.
“With regard to door-to-door visits, only 9.8 percent of the respondents felt they were visited by Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin volunteers, while 5.9 percent of the respondents received visits from Prabowo-Sandiaga volunteers,” said Cyrus Network CEO Hasan Nasbi in a written statement on Thursday, February 28.
The same goes for events held in the vicinity of the respondents’ neighborhoods, with 11.9 percent for Jokowi-Ma’ruf and 6.5 percent for Prabowo-Sandiaga.
“This leaves untapped areas that can be optimized, considering that real visits in the field are highly effective,” said Nasbi.
A total of 73 percent of the respondents that were visited by the Jokowi camp said they would cast their vote for the presidential candidate while 56 percent of the respondents visited by the Prabowo camp showed willingness to vote for the opposition.
The direct, face-to-face interviews by Cyrus Network involved 1,230 respondents across 123 areas in 34 provinces in Indonesia.
