26 February 2019 09:43 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaFive of Indonesian universities listed in top universities in Asia-Pacific regions as announced by Times Higher Education (THE), the magazine behind the world’s most influential university rankings.

The five universities are namely University of Indonesia (UI), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), and Gadjah Mada University (UGM).

In a release issued February 2019, UI ranks 131-140 position. The ranking includes more than 300 universities across East Asia, South-east Asia, and Oceania.

“In global, UI ranks 601-800 based on 2019 THE World University Rank,” said UI spokesperson Rifelly Dewi Astuti Monday, February 25.

Rifelly said that UI climbed to top 100 from previously at 191-200 place issued last year. “Other than UI, Indonesia is represented by four other universities; ITB (191-200 ranking), ITS (201-250), IPB (251-300), and UGM (251-300).”
