TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The campaign team of Jokowi - Ma'ruf (TKN) said it will report the Islamist gathering Munajat 212 to the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) for abusing the religious event for a political agenda.
"TKN must report it [to the Bawaslu]. Similar to my previous statement when the 212 event was used for political agenda, my statement is clear, that’s so disappointing," said campaign team chief Erick Thohir in Pecenongan, Jakarta, on Saturday, Feb. 23.
Previously on Friday, director of law and advocacy of Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin camp, Ade Irfan Pulungan, said that they were collecting data related to the Thursday evening’s event in Monas. He suspected several violations took place during the Munajat 212 event that was attended by several members of Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno camp (BPN).

He said the first indication was that several BPN board of members attending the event mentioned words suspected to be invitation or campaign to vote Prabowo-Sandi.
Secondly, Ade Irfan continued, Mars 212 sang by the attendees of Munajat 212 event was also indicated to have contained political contents since he viewed that the song shows a bias toward the Prabowo - Sandi pair. He added that there was no correlation between the establishment of the event and the song.
Ade Irfan also found a violation in the oration conveyed by the several figures attending the Munajat 212 event. He said several BPN figures delivered narration that discredited Jokowi - Ma’ruf pair.
“We’re still gathering more evidence, out of the three, so we can soon report it to the Bawaslu.”
