Team Preps Ma'ruf Amin for Third Presidential Debate

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jokowi – Ma'ruf Amin campaign team (TKN) director Usman Kansong revealed that they have specially prepared a set of data for Ma’ruf to use against Sandiaga Uno in the next presidential debate.
The data Usman refers to is related to Jokowi’s first year upon increasing workers’ employment. The third debate will only see vice presidential candidates pitted against each other where Sandiaga Uno is predicted to highlight the issue of job opportunities.

“We have the data. There were 10 million workers employed. We also have a similar program for the next five years. That’s our main issue to anticipate,” said Usman to Tempo today, Feb. 21.
The debate between vice presidential candidates will mainly pit each candidate’s programs on education, healthcare, employment, and socio-cultural issues. “We’ve provided [Ma'ruf Amin] coaching sessions and exposed him to the materials that fit the debate theme,” said Usman.
Sandiaga Uno is known to talk about job opportunities in his campaigns across Indonesia. As in September 2018, he said that the country’s employment availability index has entered a pessimistic level.
