TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bogor Resort Police discovered the location of bootleg drug production in Cihideung Village, Cijeruk, Bogor Regency. They made illicit meth in home production.

Bogor Resort Police’s chief of Narcotic Unit Andri Alam said the discovery was made possible after a month of investigation in Bogor Regency area when drugs distribution was in high demand.

“After about a month of investigation, we have finally found the source,” Andri said at his office on Thursday, Feb. 14. “The making of the bootleg drugs was done at a tree-house,” he added.

The police is still investigating further on the supplier and other networks allegedly spread in the Jakarta Greater Area (Jabodetabek). “The suppliers are from Sumatra while the final products of the illicit meth are distributed to Jabodetabek,” said Andri.

Based on the suspect’s statement, Andri said that this group had been starting their business for 4 months.

The Bogor Resort police seized 1,552 gram of the bootleg drugs, two beaker glasses, one electric stove, one hairdryer, one bottle of vinegar, and three bottles of chemical substances.

The authorities also arrested three suspects; J, Y, and AU, who are likely to be charged with a life sentence or death penalty.
