TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto said during his campaign rally at Blora, Central Java, that he will not grant access for corruptors to take any government position if he gets elected as president.
In a press release received by Tempo, Prabowo was welcomed by hundreds of religious figures, public figures, and Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI)-Police retirees joined in the Indonesian retired military fighters (PPIR) at Blora.
"I will protect Indonesia's wealth and use them to improve the lives of Indonesians and wages for civil servants, military members, police, prosecutors, and judges," said Prabowo as quoted in the press release dated Thursday, February 14, 2019.
Prabowo said that there has been rampant state-budget leak caused by the large practice of corruption within the government environment. Prabowo argued that this leak is the cause of the sluggish improvement of people's welfare.
"If I am granted the mandate to be president, I will never allow those corruptors from entering government positions in the Republic of Indonesia," said Prabowo Subianto.
