TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A committee member of the campaign team of Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno, Fadli Zon, claimed that he had not known yet the style of Prabowo in the second presidential election debate slated to take place on February 17.
“We don’t know yet. Will (Prabowo) attacked? In my opinion, the more he (Jokowi) attacks (Prabowo), the deeper he will fall,” said Fadli in the campaign team secretariat in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, February 12.
Fadli mentioned that he and Prabowo did not have ideas on questions that would be addressed during the debate. But, Prabowo would highlight infrastructure issue during the government of Jokowi and the real public needs.
“Can the public consume infrastructure? They eat rice but prices of staple foods and other needs continue to rise, while the purchasing power decrease,” Fadli underlined.
Fadli further said that Prabowo would likely criticize Jokowi upon the latter’s campaign promises in the 2014 election during the upcoming debate.
“Jokowi’s promises on self-sufficiency totally fails. Many infrastructures also fail as many are stalled. I think that most of the promises are not achieved,” Fadli Zon remarked, adding that Prabowo will speak rationally and measurably in facing the incumbent candidate Jokowi.
The second presidential election debate will see the two presidential candidates, Jokowi and Prabowo Subianto, in the theme of natural resources, energy and food, environment, and infrastructure.
