7 Must-Visit Events on Jogja Heboh Festival

TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - Jogja Heboh Festival provides various attractive agenda for tourist visiting the region in February. The event offers multiple shopping promo, discounted hotel rooms, and performances in many areas in Yogyakarta City, such as the following.
1. Festival 1,000 Angkringan and Jumputan On The Street
The festival is established on the weekend, February 9-10, involving angkringan businesses that is an icon of street food stalls. The event, which is combined with batik exhibition, will be held at Kampung Tahunan, Yogyakarta, precisely along Jalan Kali Manunggal.
2. Malioboro Fashion Show 1,000 Sarong
On Sunday, February 10, a fashion show of 1,000 Sarong will be held along Jalan Malioboro starting 15:00 until 18:00 local time. A total of 500 participants will present various style of sarong to break the national MURI record.
3. Sarkemfest
Sarkem or Pasar Kembang Yogyakarta that used to be associated with prostitution site will present many cultural shows, such as music, art exhibition, and theater performance on February 14, in coincide with Valentine’s Day.
4. Festival Kopi
Jogja Heboh Festival will be featured with farmers and coffee products originally from several Indonesian regions. This event, which is held on Thursday, February 28, will provide special material on how to make coffee and taste it.
5. Prawirotaman Carnival
Prawirotaman Yogya is commonly known as tourist village in Yogyakarta. Traditional and modern music shows, as well as dance and fine arts will be presented on Saturday-Sunday, February 16-17.
6. Color Run
Two running agenda will be held during Jogja Heboh Festival; on Sunday morning, February 17 at Alun-Alun Utara Yogyakarta and on Sunday evening at Ancol that is dubbed Cost to Coast. The participant is obliged to use a white t-shirt that at the end of the race will be splashed with colorful powder.
7. Kenduri Bakpia
Before the closing of Jogja Heboh Festival, a large bakpia will be paraded in the North area of Alun-Alun Yogyakarta on Thursday, February 28.
