TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned gas and oil company Pertamina said it is preparing to produce fuel in a package that would be ready for delivery service.
“Replacing the old buying service where a buyer seeks a store [to get a product], now, the seller delivers a product via digital media. In response to the change, Pertamina develops a big program called digitalization, either in the upstream and the downstream,” said Pertamina director of retail marketing Mas’ud Khamid in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 6.
Pertamina, he added, the packaged-fuel is aimed at easing the consumers on a long-term trip and those who avoid a long line queue at a gas station. The program had been tried during the homecoming season.
Pertamina synergized with state-owned postal company Pos Indonesia to actualize the program. “Hopefully, the partnership with Pos Indonesia will finish soon,” Mas’ud explained during a launching event of Pertamina Call Center 135.
