Jokowi Claims He is Not Afraid of Deciding Public Policies

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Incumbent presidential candidate Joko “Jokowi” Widodo asserts that he never fears upon deciding public policy for the country and said that leading a large nation presents an equal amount of challenges.
“A large country has an equally large challenge. But it’s important for me to say that I never fear anything,” said Jokowi in his declaration speech in front of the crowd of East Java Alumni Forum held at Surabaya City on Saturday, February 2.

In front of thousands of supporters, Jokowi explained that he often becomes the target of criticism from his political opponents for the public policies that are deemed to perform below expectations.
“I repeat, I am not afraid one bit on deciding a public policy for this nation, the welfare of the country, and for its people,” said Jokowi, which was responded by chants supporting the incumbent to take office for his second term.
