Dengue Fever Patients Pack Hospitals in Bogor

TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Patients suffering dengue fever or DBD in Bogor Regency continues to increase. Bogor Regent Ade Yasin said that up to the fourth week of January, the number of the patient reaches 231 people, and five of them died.
A medical head of Cibinong Regional Hospital, Fusia Meidiawaty, mentioned a total of 155 people are being treated in the hospital due to the fever. “Up to now, patients are keep coming [to the hospital],” said Fusia Wednesday, January 30.
To anticipate the case, Fusia added, the hospital prepared 50 cot beds borrowed from the Indonesian Military (TNI). “The beds are placed along the hospital halls.”
Further, the spokesperson of Ciawi Regional Hospital Juhaeri said that up to the third week of January, the number of dengue fever patient reached 140 people, and one of them died. “58 of them are children, while the rest 88 patients are adult,” Heri outlined.
