TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Mandate Party (PAN) founder Amien Rais claims that the true ruler of the Republic of Indonesia are mafias, comprising of low-level mafia up to the high-level ones he calls ‘super mafia.’
Amien said that low-level members are the ones operating in the District and Sub-District levels across traditional markets, factories, small hotels, parking lots, and many similar places. Meanwhile, middle-level mafias are those who work in the provincial level that enforces their intent to governors or provincial State Officials.
“The highest ones are the national-scale mafias. These are the outrageous ones,” said Amien Rais at the Prabowo – Sandiaga Uno campaign secretariat in Menteng, Central Jakarta, today, Jan. 29.
“We all know that large corporations are the actual super mafias. They work in partnership with super mafias in our country,” said Amien who openly accused higher and highest State Officials of being involved in this practice.
The PAN founder thinks that there are always correlations between corruption and power, saying that the higher the power means that the higher the corruption level is. Amien Rais also maintains that a change in leadership is needed to eradicate mafias and super mafias from Indonesia.
