Sports Ministry Imam Nahrawi Supports Golden Award SIWO

    TEMPO.CO, JakartaYouth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi supported the establishment of Golden Award SIWO in Grahadi Surabaya on February 8, which is an award for people or institution with achievement in the sports sector.

    The minister showed support during an audience with the sports journalist unit of the Indonesian Journalists Association (SIWO) in the ministry office, Jakarta, on Monday, January 28.

    “The award will affect and encourage many things, including policies,” said Minister Imam Nahrawi.

    He expressed happiness if a governor, regent, the regional sports committee (Konida), and others honored with SIWO award considering it would encourage multiple policies, including regulation, policies or even investment.

    “This is an important moment when sports become a unifying tool of the nation and as the pride of the nation, as proved by SIWO during Asian Games, Asian Para Games that are well-published,” Imam added.

    Meanwhile, the head of SIWO Gungde Ariwangsa said that his party is ready to support the government, particularly at enhancing the country’s sports achievement and hoped to have broad access in seeking news report.

    “We hope this good partnership between SIWO and Youth and Sports Ministry will continue to be better. We support the ministry’s programs. And hopefully, we can provide support in SEA Games 2019 as we want the glory of Indonesian sports,” said Gungde.
