TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Hashim Djojohadikusumo, deputy chairman of Gerindra Party's advisory council, said that the internal survey of the National Campaign Agency (BPN) of Prabowo - Sandiaga revealed the electability gap between the pair and Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin is not over 11 percent.
“Some [surveys] says 5 to 7 percent, some says 6 to 10 percent, and other says 7 to 11 percent gap,” said Hashim who is also a brother of Prabowo Subianto in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Sunday, January 27.
Hashim claimed that pollster that announced the electability gap of both pairs at more than 20 percent had lied. “Jokowi indeed still wins. But I think those surveys that say the gap up to 20 to 25 percent is a hoax and fake news,” he said.
Earlier, several surveys initiated by pollsters posted the electability gap between Jokowi and Prabowo at a double-digit; Indikator Politik at 20.1 percent, Alvara 19,2 percent, and Charta Politika 19.1 percent.
Meanwhile, Media Survei Nasional (Median) issued the gap at one digit which was 9.2 percent.
Deputy head of BPN, Mardani Ali Sera, also claimed the electability of Prabowo - Sandiaga showed a good trend. “The trend (of electability gap) is getting closer, from 14 percent to 11 percent,” said Mardani on January 8.
