TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - General Election Commission (KPU) commissioner Wahyu Setiawan revealed several names to be appointed as moderator for the second election debate slated to take place on February 17.
“Among the names are Najwa Shihab and Alvito Deanova,” said Wahyu on Monday, January 21, at the KPU office, Jakarta.
Najwa Shihab and Alvito are two nominees being weighed as moderator. “We (KPU) cannot solely choose a moderator. Based on the law, the decision must be first coordinated.”
Both Najwa and Alvito are senior journalists in Indonesian media. Najwa is renowned for her talk-show program Mata Najwa, while Alvito, a former employee at SCTV and TV One, presently works at CNN Indonesia.
