TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, will be starring in Dilan 1991, a sequel of its 2018's success Dilan 1990. He takes a role as Dilan’s headmaster. Max Cinema producer, Ody Mulya Hidayat, stated that it was an honor for his movie.

“The appearance of Kang Emil on this movie not because he is the governor of West Java, but because he loves art,” Said Ody during the press conference of Dilan 1991 in XXI Kemang Village, Jakarta on Thursday, January 17.

Ody said that Dilan 1991 will also promote West Java tourism. The romanticism of Bandung City will be shown in this movie. Even the gala premiere will be held in Bandung on February 24, 2019.

Director Fajar Bustomi said the tools in the making of Dilan 1991 is more advanced than the prequel. The setting is also more varied.

The main stars in Dilan 1991, Iqbaal Ramadhan and Vanesha Pricilia, also confessed that they can build chemistry between them a lot easier.
