Truck Stuck in Ditch in Sawangan, Causes Traffic Jam for 3 Hours

TEMPO.CO, Depok - A truck loaded with light steels got stuck in a ditch on Jalan Raya Sawangan, Depok and caused a long traffic jam for three hours.

The Isuzu-brand with a plate number L loads light steel materials. “The truck stops in the ramp road of Parung Bingung, a border area of Sawangan and Pancoran,” said Depok Traffic Police chief Comr. Sutomo to Tempo on Thursday, January 17.

According to him, one of the four wheels of the truck got stuck in a ditch, and so it caused severe congestion in the highway. “We have deployed personnel to manage the traffic,” he said.

Sutomo explained the truck owned by PT Baja Ringan Hijau Lestari was driven by Suryadi. “The company is based in Surabaya,” he added.

Chief of Sawangan Resort Police, Adj. Comr. Suwardji said the traffic jam occurred since 07:00 a.m local times.
