TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police (Polri) admitted to encountering difficulties in investigating the molotov cocktail and fake bomb found in front of two houses owned by two Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders.
The two were KPK chairman Agus Rahardjo and KPK deputy chief Laode M. Syarif.
The police said the objects were contaminated with a lot of fingerprints, both on the fake explosive device and the Molotov cocktail bottle.
“At the time of the incident there were too many people from the residences that held the objects, and it was hosed with water because it produced fire,” Polri spokesman Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo said.

The police faced a similar problem while investigating the bag containing a fake bomb at Agus Rahardjo’s house. The initial investigation in the field caused the important evidence to be contaminated by police investigators’ fingerprints.
The police’s Inafis Unit (Indonesia Automatic Finger Print Identification System) is presently investigating the evidence with special technology that will help unravel the perpetrators behind the terrors against the KPK members.
