14 January 2019 11:51 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A national actor-cum-designer Robby Tumewu passed away on early Monday, January 14, at 00:15 local times. Previously, the man who born on December 4, 1953, reportedly suffered a stroke.

A friend of Robby, Debby Sahertian, in an interview with media at the end of last year, said that Robby suffered stroke since October 2010.

“He gets a stroke for a long time since October 2010. It’s been a long time,” said Debby.

Eight years after, Debby said Robby Tumewu regained health, or at least his body’s organs were still functioning.

“But someone who suffers a stroke cannot be 100-percent healthy normally, as previously. But, the important is his kidney, lungs, and heart are in good condition. Those are health,” Debby added.

The name of Robby Tumewu was begun to be famous since the early 1990s through a soap opera and movie entitled Lenong Rumpi. Throughout 2010, Robby played a role in four movies, one of them was entitled 3 Hati Dua Dunia Satu Cinta.
