Six Missions of Jokowi - Ma'ruf to Eradicate Corruption

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The candidate pair number 01 Jokowi - Ma'ruf is preparing for the first election debate which will take place on January 17, 2019, in Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta, with issues on legal, human rights, corruption, and terrorism.
The corruption issue will be one of the main focuses of Jokowi - Ma'ruf following the rampant graft case committed by officials of the government and legislative member in recent years. Issues on the corruption prevention and action against it are reportedly the debate material.
“For us, both [prevention effort and action against corruption] must be carried out. The act against it must be at maximum, and the prevention should not be loose,” said Abdul Kadir Karding as the deputy head of the National Campaign Team (TKN) of Jokowi – Ma’ruf in Menteng, Jakarta, Sunday, January 13.
Based on the copy of vision and mission of Jokowi - Ma'ruf that Tempo received, there are six main focuses to prevent and eradicate corruption acts. First, the hopeful promises to run the national strategy to prevent corruption. The incumbent candidate also promises to improve the capacity of the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) and strengthen the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK).
Further, Jokowi - Ma'ruf pledge to enhance the synergy and cooperation between institutions of law enforcement in eradicating corruption, encourage the non-cash transaction as a prevention attempt of using cash in graft act and money laundering, as well as corroborate actions against banking crimes and money laundering case.
