Bali's Denpasar Listed on World's 10 Healthiest City

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - England-based tourism service company TravelSupermaket listed Denpasar in Bali as one of the World's 10 healthiest cities.

“Denpasar is the only city in Indonesia that is included on the list of 10 healthiest cities,” said Dewa Gede Rai, Head of the City Public Relation and Protocol Section of Denpasar, Bali on Thursday, January 10.

The first position is achieved by Paris, France. It is followed b Chiang Mai, Thailand; Barcelone, Spain; Pattaya, Thailand; Vancouver, Canada; Miami; San Fransisco, United States; Lisbon, Portugal; Denpasar, Indonesia; and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

TravelSupermarket, as quoted from Antara, utilized various data source in creating the list, such as data from a market research agency Euromonitor International, TripAdvissor, Yelp, and World Weather and Climate.

Other aspects used to measure the healthiness level of a city include Spa places, yoga and pilates studios, until the number of healthy food shops and vegan restaurants.

The sun exposure coverage and the average price of staying in a hotel were also used as the assessment aspects.
