Police: Celebrity Online Prostitution Involves Minors

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -East Java Police Spokesman Frans Barung Mangera said that the police discovered an astonishing fact during their investigation on the online prostitution that made headlines after it incriminated actress Vanessa Angel.
Initially, police suspected that this illegal practice only involved celebrities aged between 20 to 24 years old. But their findings found those that were even younger.
“There's a 19 year-old involved," said Frans Barung at his office in Surabaya on Friday, January 11, 2019.
Frans explained that the minor was not one out of five that were announced by East Java Police Chief Insp. Gen. Luki Hermawan on Thursday, who at the time confirmed that there are 45 celebrities and 100 models involved in an alleged online prostitution practice.
Police concluded that five of the announced identities are strongly indicated to be involved in the online prostitution, which also involves a number of hustlers that offer a celeb or model through an online chatting application and work along each other in a tight-knit network of hustlers.
