Rizky Amelia to Fulfill Social Security Board Summon Friday

10 January 2019 16:19 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rizky Amelia, a former secretary of Worker's Social Security Agency (BPJS TK) Supervisory Board Member Syafri Adnan Baharuddin, will be summoned by the National Social Security Board (DJSN) in relation to her report on the alleged sexual harassment. Rizky will be summoned on Friday, January 11, 2019.

"Tomorrow at 09:00 A.M. for a hearing," Rizky Amelia confirmed on a short message to Tempo on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Rizky previously reported her former boss to the DJSN for alleged sexual harassment.

Rizky submitted her report after receiving a suspension letter in November 2018 and a work termination plan in early December 2018, which she believed to be related to her report to the BPJS TK supervisory board.

The report to DJSN, Rizky explained, was filed because her two reports to the internal board did not result in any resolution.

The sexual harassment case was brought up to the media following a press conference in late December 2018. Rizky accused Syafri of four sexual harassment within two years in 2016 until 2018.

During a meeting with reporters, Rizky claimed to have reported her boss to the DJSN, and a week later, to the National Police's criminal investigation unit.

Responding to Rizky's complaint, Guntur Witjaksono, Head of BPJS TK supervisory board claimed that he never received a report filed by the 27-year-old woman related to sexual harassment. "She only said that she often scolded by Syafri," said Guntur. However, he did not deny there was a plan to terminate work contract of Amelia which would be issued on December 5, 2018.
