Item Suspected as Cocktail Bomb Found in KPK Deputy Home

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A bottle that the police suspect to be part of a cocktail bomb was found at the home of KPK deputy Laode Muhammad Syarif on Wednesday, January 9.
Laode's neighbor Suwarni (59) said that the bottle was found by Laode's driver, Bambang, at 05:30 this morning.
"Pak Bambang told me that he found a Molotov bomb," Suwarni, a snack vendor who has a stall in front of Laode's home, told Tempo on Tuesday.
Suwarni then said that she saw the bottle was shaped like an oil lamp and it had a lit wick. Inside it was some sort of liquid.
Thirty minutes later two policemen came and secured the suspicious looking item.
So far, no official statement has been released by the police. But Tempo reporters noted that the police are still investigating Laode`s home and asking questions around the neighbor as of this noon.
