TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Health recommended 19 hospitals in Jakarta to provide medical treatment for patients of the Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan).
Therefore, the acting head of Jakarta Health Agency, Ani Chafifah, ensured the hospital service that previously stopped for BPJS patients would be continued. “So, there is no problem,” said Ani when contacted today, January 8.
As reported earlier, BPJS Kesehatan terminated its partnership with 169 hospitals in Indonesia. Of the 169 hospitals, 19 are located in the capital city.
The contract with three hospitals, namely regional hospital (RSUD) Jati Padang and Kebayoran Lama in South Jakarta and RSUD Cipayung in East Jakarta, was terminated due to accreditation certificates issues.
The Health Ministry, Ani mentioned, issued the recommendation letter concerning the extension of cooperation between hospitals and BPJS. The letter with the number HK.03.01/MENKES/18/2019 dated January 4, 2019, was delivered to president director of BPJS Kesehatan.
