TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Head of the Election Supervisory Board of Bogor Regency, Irvan Firmansyah, said his side had examined seven witnesses in the wake of alleged campaign violation committed by Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
“Four witnesses, two reported parties, and Anies Baswedan were summoned on Monday to Bawaslu office,” Irvan told Tempo, Tuesday, January 8.
According to Irvan, Anies Baswedan was summoned following a report passed to the Bogor Bawaslu from the National Bawaslu via West Java Bawaslu.
“The case was transferred on Thursday, December 20, 2018, a day after we held an initial discussion with Sentra Gakkumdu (the election integrated law enforcement center),” he said.
Irvan mentioned the board had 14 working days since the initial session to set the status of the case; whether it was required for a trial as an alleged crime or not.
“We will establish a second discussion with Sentra Gakkumdu on January 14 to conclude the case,” Irvan added.
Anies Baswedan, Irvan said, was reported by Indonesia (NKRI) Guards Advocate Network or Japri to the National Bawaslu over alleged violation on the misuse of his position to benefit the presidential-vice presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno during his visit to the Gerindra Party Conference in Sentul, Bogor, Monday, December 17, 2018.
“Anies Baswedan allegedly violates Article 281 (1) in conjunction with Article 547 of Law No. 7/2017 on the Election,” said Irvan.
