VP Candidate Sandiaga Uno Claims to be 85 Percent Popular

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prabowo Subianto’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election, Sandiaga Uno, claims his popularity soared after campaigning in 1,000 locations across the country. He claims an internal survey shows his popularity is at 85 percent.
“My popularity is above 85 percent. But we must work harder since we are still left behind,” said vice presidential hopeful Sandiaga Uno yesterday.
What Sandiaga means by ‘left behind’ refers to the electability of himself and Prabowo are still considered to be behind their main rivals Joko “Jokowi” Widodo – Ma’ruf Amin according to a number of domestic pollsters.

Despite his alleged inferiority, Sandiaga claims that the party’s internal survey saw him and Prabowo surpassing 40 percent in terms of electability. He did not provide an answer when asked to compare his electability to the Jokowi-Ma’ruf pair.
As a VP candidate, Sandiaga Uno claims to have visited 1,000 campaign locations along 77 districts, 47 cities, and 27 provinces.
