TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice Presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno claims that not many people are aware of his and running mate Prabowo Subianto’s vision in the wake of the 2019 presidential election.
“Let alone our vision and mission, they are not even aware of the vision of the incumbent candidates,” said Sandiaga Uno who claims to have formed his opinion after visiting hundreds of Indonesian regions throughout his campaign.

His statement was also responding to the decision taken by the General Elections Committee (KPU) that canceled an event scheduled to take place on January 9th which was supposed to see 2019 election candidates announce their vision. This cancellation is said to be the byproduct of both campaign teams failing to agree on a deal.
The Prabowo – Sandiaga Uno camp maintains that a crucial moment such as that must be delivered by the candidates themselves. Meanwhile, the Jokowi-Ma’ruf camp argues that introducing the candidates’ visions done by campaign teams would suffice.
However, the KPU gave a green light for either campaign team to hold a campaign specially meant to deliver the candidates’ visions without being facilitated by the KPU.
