TEMPO.CO, Depok - Chief Corporate Affairs of app-based ride-hailing company Gojek Indonesia, Nila Marita, stated that her business shows a significant improvement in Singapore. The Gojek app has previously launched in the city-state on November 3, 2018.

"As per January 2, our service has covered entire Singapore but [the app is] still in beta version," she said when met at the Safety Riding event in Depok, West Java, January 5.

The Singaporeans welcomed the Gojek app positively, Nila said, since the mobility and Gojek driver were increased. However, she said that they have yet to get exact figure so she did not mention the exact number of the trip.

Gojek app in Singapore is not yet a complete version; it is currently only available for Gocar service. In addition, during the launching, it only covered several areas, namely Sentosa, Pungol, Central Business District, Bandara Changi, Jurong East, dan Ang Mo Kio.

Andre Soelistyo, Gojek CEO, said that his company partners with the Development Bank of Singapore Limited or DBS for the payment service as a strategic step to give the best service for its customers.

Nila further explained that the launching of the beta version was aimed at receiving feedback from the users in Singapore before introducing the complete app there. But she did not mention on when to launch Gojek’s full service in the city-state and its market share target.
