Anies Visits Lombok to Hand Over Financial Assistance

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan departed to Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Thursday night, January 3, to hand over financial assistance for Lombok earthquake victims.
The Bureau of Regional Head and Foreign Cooperation head, Muhammad Mawardi said on Friday, January 4, Anies represented the Jakarta administration to hand over the aid.
“The handover of financial assistance,” Mawardi said when contacted on Friday, January 4.
Mawardi explained that Jakarta sent three financial aids, first, Rp19.2 billion to build 16 schools in North Lombok. Second, the assistance for the development of environmental sanitation, education rehabilitation, and normalization of waterways in East Lombok.
The Jakarta administration has budgeted Rp10 billion, taken from the Jakarta Regional Budget (APBD) for the two aids.
Meanwhile, the last assistance was provided by the Jakarta civil servant (PNS), which was worth Rp4.4 billion.
“The assistance of Jakarta PNS to North Lombok is Rp4.4 billion, to build SMP 2 Tanjung (public junior high school) and its facilities,” said Mawardi.
