6 Hospitals in Bogor Cancel Cooperation with BPJS Kesehatan

3 January 2019 20:13 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Six hospitals in Bogor Regency, as of January 1, have not served patients who use the facilities of the Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan). The six hospitals are Citama Hospital, Bina Husada Hospital, Annisa Hospital, dr. Sismadi Hospital, Permata Pertiwi Hospital and Asysyifaa Hospital.

Spokesperson of BPJS Cibinong branch Wahyu Bhiantoro, said that the six hospitals cancelled their cooperation with the BPJS based on the provisions of the Minister of Health Regulation No. 99 of 2015 concerning Amendment to Minister of Health Regulation No. 71 of 2013 concerning Health Services at National Health Insurance.

"The reason for the cancellation was because the six hospitals had not completed the operational permit and there was no recommendation from the Ministry of Health," Wahyu told Tempo on Thursday, January 3, 2019.

Wahyu said that a hospital that had not completed the operational permit was Citama Hospital, while five other hospitals, had no recommendation from the Ministry of Health.

"This termination is temporary, if indeed the operational permit and recommendation have been issued, we can process to cooperate again," Wahyu said.

Regarding the BPJS debt to several hospitals, Wahyu said that it would not affect the payment of six hospitals, which were terminated by the cooperation process.

"We will still pay until the last month of service before cancelling cooperation," Wahyu said.

Based on hospital claim payment information, inpatient and outpatient services until Saturday, December 1, through the official website https://bpjs-kesehatan.go.id, the total BPJS debt to the six hospitals is recorded at IDR 23 billion.

"When it comes to the late in payment [debt], the one who has the right to answer is the head office, what is clear, this late payment is actually not a new issue. The hospital also understands the conditions that have occurred," Wahyu said regarding BPJS Kesehatan debt.
