TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts areas in North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) will be showered by low-intensity rainfall this Christmas morning.
“The skies over areas in Jakarta and its vicinity will be partly cloudy,” said BMKG spokesman Hary Tirto in a written statement on Tuesday, December 25.
The cloudy skies are predicted to last up to noon with a potential of light intensity rainfall throughout the Greater Jakarta area, especially over the city’s Central, Northern, and Western region.
Meanwhile, BMKG warns that South Jakarta and East Jakarta might endure a brief rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds from the afternoon to evening. Jakarta’s temperature will be hovering around 25-32 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 60-85 percent and with 10-35 Kilometers per hour winds.
