Christmas, New Year; Jonan Ensures Electricity, Fuel Supply Safe

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan ensured that the electricity supply in East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara is sufficient ahead of Christmas and New Year 2019. Jonan conveyed the statement during his visit to fuel gas terminal (TBMM) and PLN Transmission East Java and Bali in Waru, Sidoarjo.
"I expect there will be no blackout or maintenance in Bali, Labuan Bajo during holidays of Christmas and New Year,” said Jonan in a press release Monday, December 24.

Other than checking the electricity supply, Jonan also monitored fuel supply in East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara. He explained the fuel stock in the three regions is sufficient.
“Please make sure the fuel supply is sufficient; either for land, sea, or air transportation,” said the minister.
Minister Jonan mentioned state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina prepared 5 units of mobile fuel dispenser, 7 units of kiosK Pertamax, 4 fuel buffer tanks as to anticipate a long holiday, as well as 50 mobile fuel tanks, 16 mobile fuel dispensers, 27 kiosK Pertamax, and 26 motorcycles providing fuel are available along the Christmas holiday routes.
