Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated Toll Road to be Completed in May 2019

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief Executive of PT Jalanlayang Jakarta-Cikampek, Djoko Dwijono said he is optimistic that the construction of the elevated Jakarta-Cikampek toll road would be completed in May 2019. He said he would seek to finish the project before Eid al-Fitr, 2019 despite suspension of work several days lately.
"The target set for us is difficult but we are set to finish it as told by the government," Djoko said on Friday.
After 630 days of work, 61 percent of the project of 39 kilometer elevated toll road has been finished, he said.
"Now we have to be tight in preparing construction materials like steel, etc. Every hour we have to make evaluation to ensure that the target could be achieved," he said.
He said everyday until the deadline, 14-15 girders have to be installed to meet the target of the toll road project.
