TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - CEO and Inventor of Alvara Research Center Hasanuddin Ali said the millennial generation in Indonesia has nine unique habits. In his research, he said that the millennials are addicted to the internet. Second, they easily fall in love with a new person.
Third, Hasanuddin Ali said, they do more non-cash transactions. Then, the millennial generation is considered good at working quickly and smartly. They are also considered to be able to do anything. They can easily decide when and where they will go on vacation.
The last three characteristics of millennials are apathetic toward politics, like to share things, and do not have to take possession of something.

1. The millennials care about social issues. This can be seen from the emergence of various sites that focus on social issues such as change.org, online petitions, including responses to other social issues through social media.
“However, this attitude is still limited to euphoria and not yet massive,” said Hasanuddin Ali.
2. The millennial generation is also considered like to share knowledge, skills, and insights, which of course, is dominantly done on social media and the internet. Some examples of the expertise they share can be seen in the hijab and cooking tutorials that are increasingly spread on the internet. No wonder, more millennial becomes a reference to other millennials.
3. The millennial generation strengthens their relationship with their followers on social media.
“Followers are family,” Hasanuddin Ali said.
The millennial generation is considered to have high solidarity, especially toward their followers. “Therefore, since they often share their update activities with other internet users, it's like giving news to families,” he said.
