New Year Celebration, KCI set to Operate Until 2 AM

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned train company Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) is set to provide additional train hours specifically to serve commuters during the upcoming New Year celebration in Jakarta, which will operate from 23:00 to 02:00.

“This additional train service hours in new year celebration top the previous two years,” said KCI spokesman Eva Chairunisa in a written statement today.

According to Eva, the additional 23 train operation hours will be divided across a number of train routes. Nine of them will be allocated for Bogor/Depok-Kampung Bandan/Jakarta Kota while seven additional hours will serve the Cikarang/Bekasi-Jakarta Kota route.

Additional five route hours will serve the route passing Rangkasbitung/Maja/Parungpanjang-Tanah Abang and two additional operations for Tangerang-Duri route. According to KCI, the time between arrivals will be around 30 minutes during this additional hour.
